''Matemática em inglês!!!!''

Frações - Fractions
Definition
A fraction (from the Latin fractus, broken) is a concept of a proportional relation between an object part and the object whole, rather than as a comparative relation between two separate quantities.
→object whole
→ object part
(1/8 and 7/8)
Componentes de uma Fração - Parts of a fraction
numerator = numerador
denominator = denominador
Spelling
1/2 a half or one half
1/3 a third or one third
1/12 one twelfh
1/16 one sixteenth
2/3 two thirds
3/4 three quarters (em inglês americano, também three fourths)
9/10 nine tenths
Frações mais complexas - More complex fractions
26/78 twenty-six over seventy-eight
41/164 forty-one over one six four/one hundred and sixty-four*
Números inteiros e frações - Whole numbers and fractions
Utiliza-se and para uni-los:
2½ two and a half (dois e um meio)
five and three quarter (cinco e três quartos)
IMPORTANT REMARKS:

a) Nas frações abaixo de 1, utilizamos a preposição of antes de substantivos. Exemplos:
three quarters of an hour (três quartos de hora)
a third of the population (um terço da população)
half an hour (meia hora)
half (of) the students (metade dos alunos) - of=optional
one and a half hours (e não one and a half hour)
three and three eights miles
1.3 millimetres (e não 1.3 millimetre)
d) A estrutura a/an ... and a half também ocorre com frações e números decimais:
I've been waiting for an hour and a half. (Estou esperando há uma hora e meia.)

Porcentagens - Percentages
0.375 nought point three seven five (e não nought point three hundred and seventy five.)
4.7 four point seven
nought point seven of a mile
0.1625cm nought point one six two five of a centimetre

Non-metric Measures - with approximate metric equivalents
Examples:
I weigh eight stone six (e não ... eight stones six)
We are now flying at an altitude of 28,000 feet.
The car park's straight on, about 500 yards on the right.

Roupas e calçados - Clothes and Shoes

Do people in the UK use "stone" to express their body weight?

Officially no, the government have decided that we should all use the metric system for weights. Our government likes to make decisions like that because they are full of their own self importance in the mistaken belief that people will do as they're told. Interestingly they (the government) are still clinging on to miles to measure distance.

In reality yes, because old habits die hard. I guess 99% of people in the UK still use Imperial measurements especially for body weight. So if you ask a Brit what weight they are, they will more than likely answer you in stone and pounds. They probably won't even know their weight in kilos. However be warned, in the UK asking what weight someone is can be quite a personal question. Don't ever ask a stranger what weight they are or you may recieve an answer like "it's none of your business".

Falando de Dinheiro - Talking about money
MONEY OR CASH?
I counted the money / the cash carefully.
(Eu contei o dinheiro cuidadosamente.)
How much money / how much cash do you have on you?

Pilots complete flights for their airline, using their simulator, either online (using a network such as Sim - Miles) or offline, and then file a pilot report.
Most of us has a chance to experience the amazing adventure of
some kind of aircraft simulators. After February 27, The Sim Online
servers were shut down and it is now known as EA land, old account
holders can still come back of course, and its the same game.
However, if you'd like to take the scenic route through Google Earth, the SR22 is a better choice. It features its own unique economy in which players can buy and sell things they make and so on, several real world companies are actually getting into the game to offer services, such as H&R Block.

If one innocently applies an insufficient amount of sealer on a very porous concrete
material, the said material may not be effective at all. Polished concrete floors come in different colours and types to suit the
different decorative and functional requirements of domestic or commercial customers.

However, both the methods have their own pros and cons.

In this case, it might be better to start an organic vegetable garden
in a raised bed. As much as you may want to grow radishes and lentils in your kitchen you don't want to blemish your frugal reputation. Each has his own concoction of soapy water, tobacco juice or hot pepper solutions to to deter these nasty pests and try those first.
